Orezone Gold Corporation (ORE: TSX) is a Canadian based gold exploration and development company focused on the discovery and development of gold deposits in West Africa, one of the fastest growing gold producing region in the world.

After selling its 5.3 Moz Essakane mine to IAMGOLD, Orezone is now focused on exploring and developing its other assets in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Collectively Bomboré, Sega and Bondi have 1.7 Moz of gold in Measured and Indicated resources and 2 Moz in Inferred resources. Bomboré is the company’s flagship property with 0.93 Moz of gold in Measured and Indicated resources and 1.78 Moz in Inferred resources. The Bomboré deposit lies under the largest soil anomaly in Burkina Faso and is one of the country’s largest deposits. It remains open along strike and at depth.

Orezone has two uranium permits covering 980 km² in Niger. They are within 40 km of AREVA’s SOMAÏR and COMINAK uranium mines. Orezone also has a Mo-Cu discovery in Niger near the Burkina Faso-Niger border.
