Orezone's mission is to create wealth by discovering and mining the earth's resources in an efficient, responsible manner.


Corporate Strategy

1. Maintain a sharp focus on gold: Because of a weakening US dollar, global economic and political uncertainty, shortages of supply, and increasing demand for gold, most analysts predict a long period of rising and higher gold prices. In addition, because gold mines can be brought into production comparatively quickly and inexpensively, gold is an attractive exploration target. Furthermore, the entire management team and board have significant experience with gold exploration and production. For these reasons, the Company will continue to maintain its focus on gold exploration and development.

2. Target under-explored areas within highly prospective regions: The Company believes the lowest-cost discoveries can be made in areas that haven't been heavily explored, but have highly prospective geology. This allows the Company to acquire properties relatively inexpensively, which contributes to a lower overall cost structure.

3. Grow through consolidation: Orezone has, and will continue to, consolidate the best properties in Burkina Faso, and maintain the dominant land position in the region.

4. Become a producer: Orezone systematically applies advanced exploration and development techniques to quickly bring its projects to a production decision. It will become a producer by relying on management's wealth of gold exploration and development experience, and it will apply environmentally-sound, mining best practices.

5. Keep costs down: Orezone maintains a low cost structure through efficient exploration and management methods, and by developing several deposits in a region in order to achieve economies of scale. Orezone will minimize shareholder dilution by leveraging exploration dollars from strategic partners when it makes sense to do so.

6. Manage risk: The Company evaluates opportunities in other countries to offset any perceived risks associated with its current portfolio. It partners with experienced exploration professionals and focuses on opportunities with high cash flow potential.
