Corporate Overview

Orezone Resources (OZN:TSX, Amex) has evolved from a Canadian based gold exploration and development company into an emerging intermediate gold producer. It is focused on the discovery and development of gold deposits in the fastest growing gold producing region in the world, West Africa.

Orezone’s approximately 5,600 square kilometers of properties in Burkina Faso & Niger have similar geology and mineralogy to neighbouring countries that collectively produce over 5 million ounces of gold per year.

Orezone controls the premier land position in Burkina Faso. The country is located between the second and third largest gold producing countries in Africa, Ghana and Mali. Burkina Faso has the same age and type of rocks as its neighbours but it is still relatively unexplored. Orezone has accumulated a strategic land position in the country during the periods when there was very little interest in gold projects. Burkina Faso is now attracting the interest of mining companies because it is a politically stable democracy with good infrastructure and an updated French based mining code.
