Overview

Orezone has focused its exploration on West Africa as this region offers relatively unexplored geological potential as well as near-surface oxidized deposits that can be explored and developed at a low cost. Burkina Faso is the country with the greatest untested potential in West Africa and it is here that Orezone holds a premier land position. The company has over 3,140 km˛ of properties that have similar geology and mineralogy to neighbouring countries (Mali and Ghana) that collectively produce over 5 million ounces of gold per year.

Orezone has interests in four different properties in Burkina Faso; Essakane, Bondi, Sega and Bomboré. As well, to the east of Burkina Faso Orezone also has two gold permits in neighbouring Niger.
